U.S. Embassy Youth Council (USYC) was created by the U.S. Embassy in 2011 in order to interact directly with Nepal’s youth about the issues that concern them. U.S. Embassy welcomes you to apply for membership to USYC 2015. We are looking for active youth who want to make a difference in their community. As a member you will be able to learn, network and grow through various programs and projects proposed by council members that promote youth engagement in civil society will be supported. 1. All Youth Council applicants must be between 18-27 years old. (युवा परिषदका सबै आवेदकहरु १८ देखि २७ बर्ष बीचका हुनुपर्नेछ )

2. All applications must include a recommendation from educational institute where you are currently studying or from your current place of work. (सबै आबेदनामा हाल् अध्ययन गरिरहेको संस्था अथवा आफु काम गरिरहेको संस्थाको एक सिफारिस समावेस हुनुपर्ने)

3. In submitting an application, all prospective Youth Council members are agreeing to be active participants in Youth Council events for the full one-year term. (यस आवेदन पेश गर्दा युवा परिषदका सबै सम्भावित सदेश्यहरु एक बर्षका लागि युवा परिषदका कार्येक्रमहरुमा सक्रिय रुपमा सहभागी हुन सहमत छन्)

4. All Youth Council applicants should intend to reside in Nepal for the next year. (युवा परिषदका सबै सम्भावित सदश्येहरुको अर्को एक बर्ष नेपालमानै बस्ने मनासये हुनुपर्ने )

Announces Training Course

on

"Result Based Management"

Advance Learning Course for Managers/Project Officer/Development Practitioners

April 30 to May 4, 2015

South Asia School of Rural Reconstruction (SARR) is an initiative that aims to achieve academic excellence in teaching, learning and research while working as a think tank with special focus on sustainable rural reconstruction and socio-economic transformation in South Asia. SARR will contribute to sustainable development through the pursuit of education, learning and research for highest levels of excellence at the regional levels.

SARR is going to organize a five-day advanced training course on "Result Based Management" in Kathmandu from April 30 to May 4, 2015. The course is designed for Managers/Project Officer/Development Practitioners who are responsible to manage the project, which consist of the following modules:

a.      Context and Principle of RBM

b.      Concepts and tools of RBM

c.      Result mapping and application

The training aims to enhance the capacity of participants on understanding the basic concepts of Result Based Management in relation to look beyond the activities and outputs; to focus on actual results, the changes created and contribution made by the interventions. The course covers the essential aspects of Developing the Logic Model (LM), Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) and risk register using participatory manner as an integral part of investment (project) design and planning. It also deals with the using Application of RBM in project cycle management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
